A lot of studies have found that static stretching can actually lower the power output of a muscle temporarily, but if you stretch the antagonists (the muscle&#039;s NOT working during whatever exercises you&#039;re doing), you&#039;ll actually probably get a bit stronger on the movement, since you don&#039;t have a tight, antagonistic muscle holding you back.</description>
