One of the best ways to figure out if you’re training TOO hard is to simply go by your mental motivation.

Before you go to the gym, are you saying to yourself, “Yes, this is going to be awesome!” or..

..are you saying to yourself, “Let’s just get through this workout.”

If it’s more like the first, GREAT.

If it’s more like the second, chances are you’re physically moving towards “overreaching” and should make some tweaks to your current plan (cutting back on frequency, volume, intensity, etc.) or even just taking a few days off.

The time off will result in EVEN BIGGER improvements than continuing to do more work.
