Bob-

I think kettlebells are a good SECONDARY movement for the posterior chain. The problem is that you are limited in the amount of weight you can use with kettlebells. And it&#039;s the amount of weight and force that can be manipulated in the squat and deadlift that make them such staples in athletic programs.

By replacing them with kettlebells, you&#039;re losing out on a lot of potential strength to be gained. 

With that being said, for the athletes that have access to kettlebells, I often program kettlebell work for them as supplementary posterior chain work or as part of conditioning &quot;finishers&quot;. 

And I know this guy has gotten a lot of &quot;pub&quot; on Game Speed here lately, but he did just release a pretty sweet kettlbell program, in case you Bob or anyone else is interested. Here&#039;s the link:
